KHURRAM ZUBERI

Co-Founder & CEO

Khurram is a Co-Founder and CEO of Meri Gari. He brings over 18 years of custom clearance, transportation and logistics expertise to the team.


In 2003, he joined his family business Ryan Agencies, which is a leading customs clearance agency established in 1979. Khurram is currently Director Operations at Ryan Agencies, effectively leading the organization and responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, while developing and implementing the Company strategy. Khurram currently leads a team of over 100 employees based at head office as well as various customs stations and terminals. During his tenure, Khurram has played a pivotal role in the growth of Ryan Agencies and developed a special interest in project logistics and transportation. His vision along with a special focus on overseas business development and innovation resulted in phenomenal growth and achieving new milestones during these years. He is closely involved in the customs clearance and logistics for a number of CPEC projects and projects of national importance on behalf of Chinese state owned enterprises and international logistics companies, looking for a trusted partner in Pakistan. He has been invited numerous times by EPC contractors and leading logistics companies in China for customs clearance and logistics advisory and has also presented in front of China's top EPC contractors at the Qingdao Customs House, China.


Khurram has also continued to work closely with leading national and multi-national companies offering customs related advisory and logistics services to the power generation, oil & gas, petroleum, chemical, construction, steel, mining, infrastructure, telecom, food & beverage, paper & printing, sugar, diplomatic missions, textile and marine in private as well as public sector.


As part of his vision to grow Ryan Agencies, Khurram also established a wholly-owned subsidiary R-Trans, which owns and manages a fleet of commercial vehicles with a focus on providing the highest quality of service. This strategy has been successful, resulting in R-Trans growing into a profitable entity in a very short time and strong repeat business due to the high levels of customer service and professionalism.


An avid traveler, Khurram has travelled across the globe for business, education and pleasure. These experiences have equipped him to implement best practices at both Ryan Agencies and R-Trans, making them leading entities in their own right. Khurram continues to travel both locally and internationally for business development, attend international seminars and exhibitions on project logistics and transportation. These visits have allowed him to become well known in the industry both locally and internationally.


Mr. Zuberi’s academic achievements include an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin (USA), Business Foundation Program from the McCombs Business School (USA) and an MBA in International Business from the University of Edinburgh (UK) of which some courses were at the Schulich Business School, York University (Canada).
