Co-Founder

Hunaid is a Co-Founder of Meri Gari. Hunaid brings over 15 years of global banking and finance experience to the team.

Hunaid started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (London) in 2004 and gained a highly diversified experience in tax, audit and project financing in the UK, Pakistan and UAE. He then moved to the UAE in 2008 with PricewaterhouseCoopers and was a part of the Corporate and Infrastructure Finance team. In 2010 he moved to First Abu Dhabi Bank (“FAB”) (formerly known as National Bank of Abu Dhabi) where he continued till 2019. In his 9 years at FAB, Hunaid rose to the role of Executive Director, where he led the advisory and financing on many landmark projects in FAB’s core markets (UAE, Egypt and Malaysia). Hunaid then moved to Bank ABC in Bahrain as Vice President of the Group Specialised Finance Team.

During his career, both as an advisor and financier, Hunaid has gained a deep insight into developing companies into resilient long term businesses that operate in a highly risk-mitigated manner, driving value for all stakeholders and the community. His geographically varied experience will allow him to bring global best-practices to Meri Gari as the business looks to grow to become a leading transportation platform in Pakistan. Hunaid’s clients include government entities, large and medium sized corporates and high-net worth individuals.

Hunaid graduated from the University of Nottingham with an LLB in Law, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Law (Chester). He is also a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a certified Business and Finance Professional.
